Vintage Monday: China Glaze It’s My Turn

Hi everyone! A beauty from the past today: China Glaze It’s My Turn from their 2008 Kaleidoscope collection. It’s My Turn is a very elegant nude scattered holo. Its effect is quite subtle and I think it’s kind of an office appropriate holo. I really loved it! Don’t say a word about my nails, I am sad enough.

Ciao a tutti! Oggi una bellezza dal passato: il China Glaze It’s My Turn della collezione 2008 Kaleidoscope. It’s My Turn è un holo nude scattered che io trovo molto elegante. Uno di quegli holo che puoi perfino mettere in ufficio perchè l’effetto non è troppo evidente. Mi piace davvero molto! Non dite niente delle unghie che già rosico abbastanza.

Twinsie Friday: duochromes! Models Own Aqua Violet

Hi everyone! Weather is still super bad over here and yet again I had to pick a polish that was obviously a colour shifter. My choice was Models Own Aqua Violet, a wonderful green to teal to purple multichrome. These are 2 coats over China Glaze Stella and China Glaze Cowgirl Up (no difference). No top coat added.

Ciao a tutti! Il tempo qua continua a essere penoso quindi ho dovuto di nuovo scegliere uno smalto che avesse un cambio colore parecchio ovvio. Il fortunato è stato il Models Own Aqua Violet, un bellissimo camaleonte ottanio-pavone-viola. In foto sono due passate sui China Glaze Stella e Cowgirl Up. Niente top coat.

ABC challenge!: S: sunset + Shaka

Hi everyone! It’s the time! My letter this week :) For my S I decided to attempt a Sunset gradient using [b] basic #16 (orange creme) and Shaka Hot Love (bright pink creme, almost-jelly). I’ve never succeeded doing gradients with crème polishes but Lisa’s post last week inspired me to try again, and I made it!

Ciao a tutti! Tocca alla mia lettera questa settimana :) Per la mia S ho deciso di fare una gradient ispirata ai colori del tramonto (Sunset in inglese) usando il [b] basic #16 (arancio) e lo Shaka Hot Love (rosa acceso). Non sono mai riuscita a fare delle gradient con degli smalti crème ma spronata dal post di Lisa della scorsa settimana ho deciso di ritentare e ci sono riuscita!

I loved the result although it looked neon to the camera, which is not! Irl it was sooo pretty and smooth! I am very proud of it! But that wasn’t enough and I added one more S: Shaka Coral Bay, which is a gorgeous mix of pink and coral big and small glitters in a clear base. Sorry for the picture spam but I love it!

Il risultato mi piace da impazzire, non altrettanto alla mia macchina fotografica che ha deciso che questi colori fossero neon. Nella realtà non lo sono. Cmq non era abbastanza e ho aggiunto un’altra S: lo Shaka Coral Bay, uno splendido glitter corallo che vi ho già fatto vedere su unghia finta. Scusate le mille foto ma adoro questa manicure!

 

I had to take the photos with my phone because my camera freaked out and only photographed it all neon and orange. Sorry for the lower quality. And that was it! I hope you liked it as much as I do. And now let’s see what my buddies created today :)

Ho dovuto fare le foto col cell alla fine perchè la mia macchina è davvero impazzita e ha fotografato tutto neon e arancione. Quindi scusate per la qualità. Ed ecco tutto :) Spero che la mia S vi sia piaciuta! E adesso vediamo le creazioni delle mie colleghe :)
